Staff Profiles

Crystal PhotoProfessional Background
Crystal has her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education. In an attempt to seek out relief from the stress of her career, she had an experience in a facial that sent her in a 180-degree career change.  Crystal then went on to attend Elizabeth Grady School of Esthetics in Boston, MA where she received her Esthetic license.  She then went on to receive her Masters in Esthetic training at The Esthetic Institute in Virginia. Crystal enjoys giving results driven facials that facilitate relaxation.  She also provides her clients with best practices for home skin care.

Crystal strives for balance in her daily life.  Spirituality, mindfulness and the healing arts help Crystal achieve symmetry in life.


Jeannie PhotoProfessional Background
Jeannie has spent the last 18 years working as a Victim Advocate. The majority of that time was spent working within the criminal court system. She has her bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a master’s degree in Forensic Psychology. After many years in the victim advocacy field, Jeannie decided to take her caretaking abilities in another direction and study esthetics. She graduated at the top of her class at AVI Career Training in Great Falls, and received her Virginia Esthetician License as well as Laser Technician Certification. Jeannie continues taking additional education classes from the International Dermal Institute.

Jeannie believes true wellness comes from a healthy balance between our mind, body, and spirit. She believes achieving that balance comes from taking care of our emotional wellbeing and treating our bodies with kindness and respect. She loves working at Pure Aesthetica as an Esthetician caring for and helping her clients achieve their balance. Jeannie is attuned Usui Reiki Level II.


JodeyProfessional Background
Upon graduating from College with an Engineering degree in the mid 1990's, Jodey entered the corporate world to the explosive growth of the Internet. During her corporate tenure she sought out alternative healing modalities to relieve the stresses caused by the fast-paced industry. Eventually, Jodey realized her true calling to the Healing Arts in the form of Aesthetics. She exchanged the science of Engineering for the science of Aesthetics. Jodey keeps current by taking additional training from the International Dermal Institute.

Jodey is a Raw-Food Enthusiast who has experienced juice fasting, colon hydrotherapy sessions, acupuncture treatments, Rolfing® series, and numerous face & body beauty treatments. She attended The Ann Wigmore Foundation in New Mexico, The Ann Wigmore Institute in Puerto Rico, and The Optimum Health Institute in San Diego and Austin. Jodey is a certified [Raw] Living Food Lifestyle™ Coach and Total Well-Being Education, Kinesis™, Reconnective Healing® Levels I/II, and she is attuned Usui Reiki Master.


JohnPhotoProfessional Background
Besides graduating from Potomac Massage Training Institute in DC, John has been a volunteer at the Living Light House in Santa Monica, CA where local and visiting body workers have open exchanges on Thursday evenings with demonstrations. He has also attended workshops at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, CA. In his travels he has received bodywork in Asia, Africa, Europe, Central and South America as well as Australia and New Zealand. He has spent time in training rooms with physical therapists and fellow athletes from the soccer fields and tennis courts. John is a USPTA Certified Tennis Instructor and a Professional Photographer from a large family so he understands the diversity of demands we put our bodies through on a daily basis.

John is a Raw-Foodist (since 1993) who has experienced many different healing treatments on his quest of health and athleticism. John’s growth towards wellness has steered him to work at 2 natural health institutes (The Ann Wigmore Institute in Puerto Rico and The Optimum Health Institute in San Diego) and a yoga studio in Malibu. John is certified in [Raw] Living Food Lifestyle™ Total Well-Being Education, Reconnective Healing® Levels I/II, and he is attuned Usui Reiki Master.


Kelly PhotoProfessional Background
Kelly has a bachelor's degree in Media Arts and Design from James Madison University. After entering the working world and not feeling passionate about her career she decided to get into a field that has always held her interest- the beauty industry. Kelly graduated from The Chyrsm Institute of Esthetics in Virginia Beach and received her Virginia Professional Esthetics License. She has worked in both Day and Medical Spas.

Kelly grew up in a holistic household. The idea of taking care of the mind, body and spirit is something she learned from a young age. She believes that wellness, like most things in life, is about finding the right balance. As an esthetician, Kelly focuses her intention on helping her clients not only look their best but feel it too. Your truest beauty comes from within and shines out.


Michelle PhotoProfessional Background
In 1998 Michelle graduated with a B.S. degree in Clinical Laboratory Science and immediately started working as a medical technologist.  After several years in the field, Michelle developed back pain and went in search of a "cure."  She found a massage therapist who really helped and inspired Michelle to change her profession.  As a result, in August 2007, Michelle graduated from the Swedish Institute: College of Health Sciences with an Associates degree in Massage Therapy.  Over the last 7 years, Michelle has worked with many wonderful people helping them get out of pain and relieve stress.  Michelle continues to learn more about different massage modalities and techniques to better aid the body's amazing potential to heal itself. 

Health is not just about one aspect of life, it is the sum of all its parts.  Michelle believes we are physical, spiritual, emotional and intellectual beings.  Health and wellness are achieved when these parts of our being are balanced.


Natasha PhotoProfessional Background
A graduate of Baltimore school of Massage in 2002, Natasha started her career as a massage therapist in some of Northern Virginias top rated Spa’s. She made a move to Florida after practicing for five years to receive her Associates of Science in Massage and Bodywork from Florida College of Natural Health. Through the years Natasha has continued to hone her skills by learning with some of the most talented in the business. From the D.C. metropolitan area, to Florida, to Ohio, she has created positive relationships within the healing arts, and continues to passionately help those in need. Natasha is also certified through Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy and Deepfeet Bar Therapy.

Natasha leads a healthy lifestyle, by practicing yoga and feeding her body, mind, and spirit. She takes pride in what she puts into her body, by juicing regularly, making good food choices and having a passion of cooking! Natasha grew up on a farm in Southern Maryland so her love of nutrition started at a young age and has grown into a magnificent art of healing one-self through food and herbs. Natasha is attuned Usui Reiki Master.


NelyProfessional Background
Nely has been in the service/hospitality industry since 1999. Nely has always had a passion for skincare and in 2010 made the decision to follow her passion and enroll in Aesthetic class. In 2012 she graduated from the Dermal Science Institute and earned her Master's Esthetician License. Nely is constantly taking advanced classes at the International Dermal Institute to keep current with the latest methods and products available. She strives to give her clients the best treatment and most accurate advice possible. Nely is bilingual (English/Spanish) and brings a level of service to Pure Aesthetica that will solidify her name in Aesthetics.

Nely believes to look good on the outside we must take care of our insides. Proper nutrition and daily moderate exercise are keys to achieving our goals. Also being conscious of our spiritual needs will bring us much happiness.

We have two reserved parking spaces (PARKING PASSES REQUIRED) in our shared parking lot in the back of our building, please park in space #16 or #32.  Parking Passes are available at the Front Desk upon check-in.  Please return your Parking Pass after your service.
